Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating skid steers and other heavy equipment to assist with various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and construction site procedures. Candidates with experience in dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, and grader operationare encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Operate skid steers in accordance with safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, material handling, and paving activities.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and ensure timely project completion.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating skid steers and heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, or graders.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred or required depending on project needs. Class 3 is an asset.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
