Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a strong understanding of dental terminology. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments using dental practice management software ABELDENT
- Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls appropriately
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately
- Assist patients with paperwork and financial transactions at the front desk
- Maintain organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow throughout the day
- Manage correspondence, including emails and appointment reminders
- Handle administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental or medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software ABELDENT is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer service
- Office experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to ensure positive patient interactions
