POSITION SUMMARY
As the Assistant Kitchen Manager for our Flat Boy Burger located within the Sea Change Brewing Skelly Club you will be responsible for running the line and managing the kitchen when the Kitchen Manager is off-site. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. As Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will drive the success of our outlet and uphold our high standards of quality and service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee and optimize kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Uphold strict standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality in alignment with health and safety regulations.
- Help to manage inventory levels, control costs, and implement strategies for operational improvement.
- Ensure daily duties are completed, including opening and closing tasks.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the kitchen team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
- Conduct regular team meetings on shift to communicate updates, solicit feedback, and promote a positive work environment.
- Identify opportunities for skill development and provide training as needed to enhance team performance.
- Help to train new team members and develop their skills and knowledge.
- Customer Experience:
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining strong relationships with patrons, and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
- Act on customer feedback to continuously improve service delivery and menu offerings.
- Financial Management:
- Exercise cost control measures, including labor and food costs management, while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- On-Site Work:
- Hands-on involvement in all aspects of the kitchen operations, including prepping, cooking, and managing the line.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all food items prepared.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.

REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated success in a leadership role within the food service industry, preferably within our organization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Utilizing our inter company communications app (Slack or Chats)
DUTIES
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
- Manage inventory levels with the Kitchen Manager to order supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Handle FOH inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and cooler areas.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations.
- Hands-on involvement in prepping, making burgers, receiving orders, and dealing with wholesale preparation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
