One of our clients is looking for an experienced Folding Carton Windowing Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Richmond Hill. This role is responsible for operating and setting up machinery used to apply clear window film to folding cartons, paperboard packaging, gift boxes, and other specialty packaging products.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with windowing equipment in a folding carton or packaging manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a good understanding of production quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate carton windowing machines and related packaging equipment
- Process folding cartons, paperboard boxes, gift packaging, and other packaging products
- Load and align paperboard stock, window film, adhesives, and other production materials
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate window placement and consistent production
- Monitor machine operation and inspect finished products for quality
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical and production issues and make adjustments as required
- Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic maintenance
- Follow production specifications, job tickets, and quality requirements
- Complete production and quality records accurately
- Maintain production targets while minimizing material waste
- Keep machinery and the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating windowing or related carton-converting machinery
- Previous experience in a folding carton, paperboard, packaging, or box manufacturing environment
- Experience working with window film, adhesives, paperboard, and carton materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to make machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic issues
- Ability to read and follow production specifications and job instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Must have CSA-approved safety shoes
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
