What you will be working on:
The Water Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles to deliver & apply water and, when required, transport construction, landscaping, and bulk materials utilizing the tandem dump truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, regulatory compliance, and customer service while ensuring efficient and timely deliveries.
The right person will take pride in safely delivering water and/or materials where and when it’s needed, and keeping the trucks in solid working condition through routine care and attention.
Key Responsibilities
Water Distribution & Site Support:
· Haul, load, transport, and distribute water safely for dust control, soil compaction, and other site needs.
· Follow site procedures, operational standards, and safety requirements at all times.
· Coordinate with management and project teams to manage watering schedules and support site operations.
· Monitor site conditions and apply water to high-traffic and critical areas to improve dust control and ground conditions.
· Support environmental best practices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
· Adapt to changing site priorities and provide responsive operational support to meet project needs.
Delivery Operations:
· Safely operate tandem dump truck, single axle or delivery van for transportation and delivery of various materials & other products
· Load, transport and unload materials at the residential job sites
· Ensure loads are properly secured and are in line with transportation regulations and requirements
· Provide professional and courteous customer service during all deliveries and also effectively communicate the coordination of deliveries
Inspections, Reporting & Care:
· Conduct pre-trip, in-service, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
· Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and fully operational.
· Maintain accurate records of water usage, mileage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
· Monitor vehicle performance and report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
· Identify potential issues early to support safe operations and reduce downtime.
· Maintain vehicles and equipment to company standards.
· Support preventative maintenance programs and responsible equipment care.
· Promote the longevity, reliability, and performance of company assets.
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial DZ driver’s license with clean drivers abstract (CVDR)
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience operating heavy trucks, water trucks or tandem dump trucks preferred
- Understanding of load securement & weight distribution
- Familiarity with rural routes and residential delivery areas
- Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and capable of walking up and down ladders.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is established based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience and communicated with the successful candidate upon the final offer within this range. It will not be disclosed publicly the wage brackets of our team to respect and uphold the privacy of our employees under the PIPEDA (Personal information Protection and Electronic Documents Act)
Pay: $20.04-$30.00 per hour
