Duties:
Performs a diverse range of confidential administrative and secretarial duties.
Proofreads and edits Council and Committees of Council reports, annual reports, and budget documents.
Composes, proofreads and edits letters, memos, and various documents.
Provides back-up support to the GM/General Manager’s Assistant.
Receives and determines the nature and priority of inquiries in-person, by telephone and email, and takes appropriate action.
Schedules appointments and arranges meeting details.
Assists with the organization, coordination and monitoring of special projects, programs or events.
Maintains office equipment, sorts and distributes incoming mail, maintains the corporate filing system.
Requests, authorizes payments, and maintains records of office expenditures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 education.
Graduation from a recognized business college.
One to three years’ diversified secretarial experience
Typing speed of 55 w.p.m.
Ability to work independently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Ability to research, compile and coordinate information to create correspondence and reports.
Ability to take and transcribe minutes of meetings rapidly and accurately.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to deal courteously and tactfully with the public and other civic employees.
Skill in the operation of the current Microsoft Office suite.

Salary:
$4,208.60 to $4,945.08 per month (2016 Rates)
