ConnectWell Community Health is seeking a Residential Care Worker. This is a salaried position which provides a comprehensive benefit package, including HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan).
Position Summary: You will provide short term care for individuals with complex needs in the Smiths Falls Children’s Respite Home. The home becomes the employee’s primary residence during the work period.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in one of the Social Sciences from a Community College or University or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years of experience supporting families of individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Experience with residential respite is an asset
- Knowledge of program evaluation and compliance requirements
- Experience using client case management software considered an asset.
- Knowledge of programs and services that improve the quality of life for individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
