Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Manager, Academic Administrative Services, the incumbent provides leadership in didactic learning technology and course materials. The incumbent contributes to the enhanced operation and ongoing support of web-based student evaluations and learning systems: overseeing enrollment of users, advising on the use and conducting workshops on the online assessment system and learning technology; testing/troubleshooting software; soliciting feedback and conducting needs analysis for system improvements; advising on the design of layout and reports; validating and compiling data in the system and generating summary reports from the learning technology software as appropriate. They will be responsible for coordinating the activities and calendar of the Associate Dean Undergraduate Education, as well as providing administrative support to the office of the Associate Dean Undergraduate Education, including the coordination of meetings and follow up on action items with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the priorities of the office and relevant committees, as well as establishing and maintaining the filing/archiving system for the office.

Your responsibilities will include:
Probing for information from end-users to identify problems and establish needs
Conducting needs assessments to determine end-user technical requirements
Configuring web applications according to objectives or user feedback
Providing detailed information to instructors on how to build a course shell
Assessing and determining best practices and standards for multiple instructional modalities
Researching, analyzing and recommending potential changes to system features
Creating and editing support documentation
Facilitating educational workshops and seminars

Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
Minimum three (3) years experience in academic administration and learning management systems. Experience with the Blackboard LMS. Experience working with a large amount of highly sensitive and confidential information and handling enquiries in an academic setting. Experience organizing, sorting and maintaining high volumes of information. Experience working in a highly collaborative environment. Background in client services required.
Advanced knowledge of learning software including Quercus, ExamSoft and Tophat or equivalents. Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office.
Able to use tact, discretion, maintain confidentiality, flexibility and sound judgment.
Possess a high degree of initiative and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
Must have highly developed organizational, time management and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Assets (Nonessential):
Knowledge of curriculum planning, mapping and/or assessment tools used in dental education.
Experience training end users.

Schedule: Full-time

Pay Scale Group and Hiring Rate: USW Pay Band 10 - $61,846 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $79,088. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
