About the Role
Kinton Ramen is opening a brand-new location in Downtown Burlington, and we're looking for a Service Manager to help lead our front-of-house team from day one. You'll own the guest experience from start to finish — making sure every visit is exceptional, every team member is set up to succeed, and every shift runs smoothly.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help launch a new restaurant and build a strong service culture from the very beginning.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day front-of-house operations alongside the General Manager
- Own key financials and KPIs in partnership with the management team
- Manage labour and operating costs through smart scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control
- Keep the dining room running to Kinton Ramen's brand standards
- Jump in on the floor whenever needed to keep the guest experience seamless
- Coach and develop supervisors and team members in real time
- Own guest feedback and service recovery to build lasting loyalty
- Hire, train, and grow a motivated, high-performing FOH team
- Resolve employee relations issues promptly and fairly
- Uphold all health, food safety, and hygiene standards
What You Bring
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Post-secondary education in hospitality/business, or equivalent experience
- Food Safety and Responsible Alcohol Service certifications required
- Strong English communication skills (Japanese or French an asset)
- A track record of hiring, coaching, and motivating teams
- Sharp attention to detail and strong conflict-management skills
- Availability for flexible shifts — mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (min. 30 hrs/week)
- Comfort with the physical demands of the role (standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 25 lbs)
