Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Book keeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various accounting software. Experience in non-profit account an asset.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Administer payroll including processing bi-weekly pay, T4’s, ROE, benefits reporting, source deductions etc.
- Assist with budgeting tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for financial management.
- Prepare reports related to financial performance and budget tracking.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
- Support team members with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Implement effective internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Public sector experience required.
