What is the opportunity?
As a member of the Human Resources team, you will collaborate with the Manager, Human Resources to support departmental objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and application of various human resources programs, as well as to inform employees on policies and their application.
What will you do?
Coordinate and administer all HR programs (Educational Assistance, Scholarship, Employee and Family Assistance) validations (work permits and driver’s licenses) and benefits administration
Act as a primary contact for any inquiries to the general HR inbox and hotline
Advise and support managers and employees on internal policies and procedures
Implement and maintain tracking measures for ID cards, Educational Assistance applications, temporary assignments and new managers
Support and guide the team of Regional Associates in their various HR tasks
Generate various HR reports including Seniority Reports and Vacation Entitlement using SAP HR
Draft employment offer letters
Support various committees such as social committee and employment equity committee
Be provincial prime for yearly campaigns including; Employee Giving Campaign, Bell Let’s Talk Week, Benefit Promotion, and Retirement Sessions
Manage different administrative tasks such as processing ID cards, ordering supplies from Grand & Toy and shipping mail through Purolator
Oversee and support various projects including Temporary Assignment Tracking, Benefit Promotion Plan, and Contract Review/Renewal Initiative
What do you need to succeed?
Post-secondary education with concentration in human resources management or industrial relations, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience in the field of human resources
1-2 years' relevant experience in a similar position
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Team player and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work and deal with people at different hierarchical levels, including the union
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to multi-task in a context of ongoing change
Strong organizational and priority-management skills
Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
Customer service centric
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in using SAP HR
Bilingual (French and English)
