What You Will Do:
As a general labourer, you will assist with various tasks that support the construction and manufacturing processes, such as handling materials, preparing work areas, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
As a general labourer, you will play a key supporting role across various tasks within our manufacturing facility and yard. Working alongside team members, you’ll handle materials and help maintain clean and organized work areas. You'll gain experience working with a variety of tools, materials, and processes and have the opportunity to expand your skills as you support ongoing production.
You will work indoors and outdoor, and will be expected to contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.

General cleaning duties across the facility include sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing washroom and kitchen supplies, and garbage removal.

Perform clean-up, including clearing debris, disposing of waste, and maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
-
Load and unload facility dishwashers, ensuring all items are cleaned and stored properly.
-
Assist with physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials or products within the manufacturing facility and yard.

Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment to designated areas.
-
Operate hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring proper use and care.
-
Organize and restock supplies in workstations and break areas as needed.
-
Follow daily task lists and meet deadlines for routine facility maintenance activities.

Learn proper construction tools and equipment techniques such as shovels, hammers, drills, and saws.
-
Learn and practice proper handling techniques for hazardous materials and cleaning agents.
-
Develop proficiency in safe manual handling practices, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.

Seek opportunities to improve technical skills for cleaning, material handling, and facility upkeep.

Follow all health and safety regulations, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, material handling, and equipment usage.

Comply with our administrative policies and procedures as set forth from time to time.

Identify potential safety risks or hazards in the facility and report them immediately to supervisors or management.

Identify and report any maintenance issues, spills, or damage to equipment or facility promptly.

Resolve minor problems related to cleaning equipment or tools, seeking help when necessary.

Actively seek feedback on performance and implement suggestions for improvement.

Participate in any offered training programs to expand knowledge and skills related to facility maintenance and cleaning.

Maintain open and clear communication with supervisors, team members, and other departments.

Collaborate effectively with other team members to complete larger tasks and maintain cleanliness standards.

We expect the hourly pay within the range for this position will vary within the range of $21 - 26 per hour.
Subject to change, as your pay will be based on market evaluation and various job-related factors, including your past work experience, relevant education and certifications etc.. Benefits offered after 3 months.
