Your Responsibilities & Experience
Below we’ve listed formal responsibilities but aren’t limited to other responsibilities that may arise.
● Previous experience in a general dental office as a Treatment Coordinator is required.
● Clinical background is considered an asset (CDA, RDH) as well as experience us
● Understanding of dental treatment planning.
● Act as the first point of contact to patients, particularly through welcoming and hosting in-person, over the telephone, and through email, with a view to deliver outstanding customer/patient service.
● Manage the daily appointment schedule including patient check-in, updating dental providers on patient status (ie. on-time/early/late), reviewing timeliness of appointment completion, and reporting service delays to Office Manager.
● Welcome new patients with a friendly and enthusiastic approach.
● Facilitates necessary radiographs and photos for consultations/observation patients.
● Review health history with the patient and/or guardian.
● Determine the patient and parents’ chief concerns and their goals of orthodontic
● Greet and welcome patients to the dental office
● Schedule and confirm patient appointments
● Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
● Explain treatment plans to patients, including costs, procedures, and timelines
● Coordinate with dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient treatment delivery
● Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
● Maintain accurate and organized patient records
● Provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction
● Assist in the Orthodontists examination and data collection
