Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, with experience working in dealership settings preferred. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. A solid understanding of mechanical systems, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans in accordance with industry standards
- Repair, replace, or restore damaged body panels using hand tools and power tools
- Perform frame straightening, dent removal, and painting as required
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve repair issues efficiently
- Operate heavy lifting equipment safely to move vehicles or parts as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within designated timeframes
- Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations during repair processes
Qualifications
- Prior collision experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
- Experience with automotive body repair, including dent removal and painting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Mechanic experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for all applicants
Pay: $20.22-$25.00 per hour
