PRINCIPAL FOCUS:
Under the direction of store management, a Photo/Video Sales Consultant is responsible for serving the needs of our customers, meeting sales targets and all gross profit driving metrics including but not limited to service plans, accessories and applicable services while providing a best in class customer service experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide best in class service to customers
Advises customers on the best choices for their video and/or photographic needs
Focused on the end result: meeting sales targets with happy customers
Meet sales targets through sales and sales related activities
Follow up with quotes, orders and posted invoices
Keep sales environment stocked, clean and tidy
Focus on various Vistek sales programs to enhance sales
Actively seeks methods for building relationship with customers and growing the client database
Create optimal opportunities through:
Follow up on quotes
Follow up calls to previous customers
Have an ‘anything for the customer’ attitude
Focused on continuous learning to stay in touch with latest technology
Keep personally up to date on products through the company website, seminars, web, magazines, discussions with colleagues, membership in associations etc.
Keep environment organized, clean and tidy
Complete other duties, projects and tasks as assigned
Presents a professional image to match the Vistek brand
Provide support to other departments when needed

Ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships through strong customer service skills

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of a recognized post-secondary photographic, video or related program, or relevant experience
Ability to remain organized with a strong attention to detail
Able to lift 30 lbs.
1 or more years working in a professional photographic and/or video environment
Extensive product knowledge in Photo and/or Video equipment is a requirement to provide best in class service
Proven familiarity with professional camcorders from Panasonic, Sony, JVC and Canon
Knowledge of DSLRs for video, camcorders, pro audio, sliders, video lighting and drones
Great familiarity with popular video workflows- post production
Competence with digital editing software (Avid, Matrox, Pinnacle, Final Cut Pro, Vegas, Premier, etc.) and/or photographic editing software)
Previous sales background is an asset
Competent in Microsoft suite and Mac operating systems
Comfortable using computerized inventory or other ERP system
Previous retail experience considered a definite asset
