Treatment Coordinator – Full-Time | Don River
Don River Dental is looking to hire a full-time Treatment Coordinator with at least 2 years of dental experience who is outgoing, personable, and passionate about helping patients achieve their oral health goals. This role is dedicated full-time to our Don River Dental location. Schedule: Full-time, weekdays during core clinic hours, with occasional Saturday availability when a specialist is in for a major case (e.g., implant, full-arch, ortho consult).
Job Duties:
- Welcome patients and provide an exceptional patient experience throughout their treatment journey.
- Own and present treatment plans of $2,000 or more, along with other cases that are clinically complex or require extra coordination (multi-visit sequencing, specialist referrals, lab-dependent timing).
- Educate patients on the benefits of treatment and answer questions regarding recommended procedures.
- Coordinate consultations between patients and dentists.
- Discuss financial arrangements, insurance coverage, payment options, and third-party financing solutions.
- Verify insurance benefits, prepare treatment estimates, and work closely with our insurance/billing team to keep pre-determinations and claims moving quickly.
- Schedule treatment appointments while optimizing the doctor's schedule.
- Follow up with patients who have outstanding or unscheduled treatment plans on a defined, consistent cadence until each case is booked, declined, or resolved — no plan goes untracked.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of treatment discussions and patient communications so status is always clear to the team.
- Monitor treatment acceptance rates and assist in achieving clinic production goals.
- Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and the administrative team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Respond to patient inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities as required to support clinic operations.
Treatment Coordinator Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a dental office (Treatment Coordinator experience is considered a strong asset).
- Excellent knowledge of dental terminology and common dental procedures.
- Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance and coordination of benefits.
- Experience with third-party patient financing.
- Proficient with dental practice management software (Curve is an asset).
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with patients while guiding them through treatment decisions.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on patient education and case acceptance.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
