MEGlobal Canada ULC is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our Maintenance team at our Prentiss site, located near Red Deer, Alberta.

This role requires the ability to balance and prioritize activities and workload to support both short term and long-term goals. Regular travel between Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss will be required to ensure the needs of all the facilities are being met. The Contracts Administrator will support the Turn Around Activity Coordinators and MEGlobal Project Coordinators as time and schedule allows for development and vacation coverage as needed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Contracts Administrator will be the first interface between contractors and other MEGlobal departments when assistance is required, whether it be procurement, APAY, or field questions or changes that may have a financial impact.
The Contracts Administrator will interface with the procurement department to help clarify points in the administration of the contracts that may not be clear and work with the procurement department to resolve and update contracts as needed.
The Contracts Administrator will work with the Work Activity Coordinators and Turn Around Activity Coordinators to investigate and manage daily and turnaround activities and address abnormalities or needed changes not highlighted in original contracts.
The Contracts Administrator work with the accounting department to perform spot checks on invoicing to ensure that they are within the boundaries outlined in the contract and follow up with MAC/TAM and Procurement Dept. to ensure these are corrected.
As the Contract administrator of the Maintenance and Turnaround Contracts this person will act as a coordinator between the clients, project managers and the contractors providing the service to MEGlobal. The work duties of an administrator will start from Request for Bid (RFB) stage and ends at the close out review of performance at work completion.
The function of a Contractor Administrator is to manage the various documents dealing with the field contractors, some of these documents include for purchase orders, daily time sheets, and the standing contract documents. The Contract Administrator will need to update contract documentation with any changes to the original contract or ensure the differences are clarified and addressed properly before payment.
The MEGlobal Contracts Administrator provides technical expertise, supporting both MEGlobal manufacturing facilities in Alberta with the planning and execution of Maintenance expense projects.
Completes the duties of the MEGlobal Job Representative as outlined in the Job Rep training.
Reviews construction contracts and works with the Project Managers or Run Plant staff / Procurement department to help select the best contractor for these projects.
May act as the primary contact for a contractor performing Maintenance project work.
Manages the field work to ensure that all activities are completed safely, within budget limits and on schedule.
Works with the TA Manager to assist with contractor management of Maintenance projects that may be conducted during the turnaround time frame.
Effectively utilizes Management of Change (MOC) policy where applicable

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years of Field Contractor interface experience with Maintenance / Turnaround or Construction projects from either a maintenance or operations perspective.
Strong organization and time management skills
Strong administrative
Good interpersonal skills
