Pitch and develop original story ideas daily - dig deep, think critically, and shape stories that inform and resonate across platforms;

Research, write, and produce compelling multimedia content for TV, web, and social - from first idea to final cut;

Cover breaking news, interview sources, and assess what matters most to diverse and engaged audiences;

Stay ahead of current events and national issues, with a strong focus on stories relevant to Indigenous communities;

Opportunity to fill in as Host for our National Newscast when applicable;

Be a trusted face of our organization - on camera, online, and in the community - while upholding the highest journalistic standards.
Your accomplishments and experience include:

A degree/diploma in journalism or related field with proven experience related to journalism;

A great on-camera presence, solid judgment, research techniques and the ability to be flexible;

A strong ability to articulate and effectively communicate issues relevant to Indigenous communities;

Strong computer skills and knowledge of broadcast technology;
-
A valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract.
