Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair. This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of systems using advanced tools and schematics, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, electrical system troubleshooting, and system replacements.
- Operate vehicles as needed for repairs or testing
- Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair of parts and components.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform heavy lifting and use appropriate safety procedures during repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle.
- Be able to communicate and work within a group setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Experience with electrical systems diagnostics and repairs is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Prior mechanic experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Valid class 5 licence
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
