Fitter / Fabricator
What you will be doing as a Fitter / Fabricator
· Working under the direction of the General Foreman
· Customer Service - provides exceptional customer service to all customers, both internal and external, and responds to requests in a prompt and timely manner
· Ensures workmanship on finished products meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers, both internal and external.
· Operate a 7” hand grinder
· Use hand tools
· Use welding machinery for tack welding
· Use oxy/fuel cutting torch
· Ability to read blue prints well
· Fabricate steel weldments using blue prints
· Use measuring instruments.
· Follow policies and procedures as documented in the company policy manuals
· Provide an open and co-operative attitude towards progress and change to promote and meet the company goals
· Promotes and ensures workplace safety exists at all times
· Follows all safety regulations, policies and procedures
What you should have as a Fitter / Fabricator:
· Tickets are an asset.
· A minimum of 3+ years of related experience
· Knowledge of the manufacturing industry, our company, products and services
· Knowledge of all tools and equipment in steel machining operations
· Promotes and enforces continuous safe work place practices
· Gas metal arc (GMAW)
· Flux cored arc (FCAW)
· Plasma arc (PAW)
· Shielded metal arc (SMAW)
· Overhead crane
· Fork-Lift Truck
· Valid G license
· Ability to read blue prints
· Metal shaping – brakes, shears & others
· Flame cutting
Where you will be working as a Fitter / Fabricator:
· Barrie, ON
What you will receive in return as a Fitter / Fabricator:
· $28-32/hr +$2.50/hr premium
Shift times for a Fitter / Fabricator ( 2 shifts available )
· Afternoons shift- 4:30pm-3am
· 4 days/week Mon-Thurs
· Day shift Mon-Thurs OR Tues-Fri 6a-4:30pm
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
