As Canadian Head of Finance - SFO, you will be part of the Finance Business Partner team within our International Business Unit. Within the role, you will report into the International SVP Finance (SFO) and partner closely with Canadian business leaders to deliver dedicated and insightful financial analysis to enable each Business Unit to reach its short and long term strategic and financial objectives. You will also have a strong dotted line into the Canadian CEO and offer participation to the Canadian Leadership Team.
You will interact frequently with Sales leaders to deliver financial information and insights in a concise and relevant manner to feed effective decision-making, while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships.
You will evaluate product profitability, technology capital allocation projects and overall profit and loss results in support of long-term planning and execution, as well as lead a team of finance professionals, setting strategic direction, and ensuring the execution of deliverables.
As finance leader of the Canadian team you will also offer coaching and mentoring to the controllership team with the controller reporting to the VP Finance on a dotted line basis.

Responsibilities of the Head of Finance - SFO will be:
Serve as the lead Finance Business Partner for Canadian Platform to identify and address complex financial, operational and business issues, bringing effective information to bear, supporting timely decision-making, driving action and results.
Analyze business unit expense (operating and capital) and trends, and the preparation of reporting and synopsis of the business results to the business and management.
Oversee the preparation, reporting, and analysis of financial information for the Canadian Operation, including budgets, forecasts, and monthly analyses of results. Prepare executive summaries and conduct financial reviews with Business Unit leadership that help highlight key trends, variances, strengths and weaknesses within the business performance and contribute to timely management decision-making. Identify appropriate action plans which respond to opportunities and issues.
Prepare annual budgets which reflect market conditions, key business drivers and strategic and operating initiatives, and properly balance realism with healthy stretch objectives. Help identify action steps to ensure successful delivery against budget targets.
Lead development of business cases for capital expenditures and other key initiatives.
Support commercial planning and analysis including revenue recognition, contract and pricing reviews, as well as design of adequate sales incentive plans with the Canadian CEO and HR Leader
Anticipate business needs, and maintain a strong understanding of key business drivers and industry trends.
Identify, recruit, develop and retain a high-performance team of professionals; provide direction, feedback, coaching and prioritization to team
Required Skills of the Head of Finance – SFO:
You have 10 + years of experience in a finance related capacity, with prior experience supporting sales or revenue-generating teams
You have over 10 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience, as well as managing full P+L’s for sales teams within large organizations
You've created and presented complex business cases and participated of new product introduction, Capital Expenditure or other Business Development and M&A activities
You've demonstrated success collaborating with Finance, Sales and Technology functions
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including Executive Leadership team, peers, and staff
Demonstrated experience successfully leading team of financial analysts
Possess a financial designation (e.g. CFA or CPA). An MBA from a highly rated University will be a plus
Experience using Hyperion, Oracle Projects and/or OBI (Business Intelligence Objects)
Strong PC skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
This position sits in our Toronto, Canada location with expected travel to our offices in Montreal and regular visits to our HQ location in Atlanta Georgia, USA.
