The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and work on diverse, technically interesting projects.
This is not an entry-level or training position. Applicants without prior electrical estimating experience will not be considered — please do not apply.
You'll work across the full estimating cycle: reviewing drawings and specifications, developing accurate takeoffs, obtaining supplier pricing, preparing competitive bids, and supporting project handoff — working alongside experienced Master Electricians on institutional, commercial, and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate estimates
- Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and project requirements
- Collaborate with operations to ensure estimates reflect constructability
- Track bid results and maintain historical cost data
- Support project managers with change order pricing and scope clarifications
Requirements
- Prior electrical estimating experience is mandatory — you must be able to independently produce complete, competitive electrical estimates
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods, sufficient to interpret drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong computer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PDF markup tools)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Valid G license and access to a vehicle
Assets
- 309A Certificate of Qualification, electrical apprenticeship, or electrical engineering technologist background
- Familiarity with electrical distributors and supply chain
- Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Experience with institutional or commercial electrical projects
- Experience with Accubid, ConEst, Stack, or similar estimating software

Work Location: This is an in-office position at our Etobicoke office. After successful completion of the probationary period, some remote/hybrid flexibility may be available.
