We are a well-established construction contractor serving the GTA, specializing in concrete & drain, specifically working on custom homes. We are seeking an experienced Concrete & Drain individual to lead our union crew under LiUNA 183 and help deliver high-quality results on residential projects.
Responsibilities
- Set forms according to proper elevations, slope, and brace them for porches, steps, and additional slabs.
- Cut and tie rebar as per drawings and specifications.
- Screed, level, and finish concrete.
- Spread and level stone for base preparation.
- Install insulation and wire mesh as required.
- Install sanitary sewers and storm sewers, with the proper slope, specifically for basement and garage drains.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, grades, and site layout plans
- Maintain a safe job site, conduct toolbox meetings, and enforce safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with project management, inspectors, and subcontractors
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of concrete & drain experience
- Previous experience as a Foreman / Lead Hand supervising crews
- Strong understanding of concrete forming, drain installation, and cement finishing
- Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layout
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, and other safety certifications are assets
