Elysian Health is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Vancouver.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, patient-centred clinic supporting Family Medicine, Executive Health, and Concierge Health programs. In addition to performing phlebotomy, you'll play an important role in delivering a seamless patient experience while working alongside physicians and allied health professionals in a collaborative clinical environment.

What You'll Do
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Explain specimen collection procedures and verify patient preparation requirements
- Prepare, label, and package specimens for transportation and laboratory testing
- Perform ECG tracings and connect/disconnect Holter monitors
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using electronic medical records
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and infection prevention standards
- Monitor laboratory inventory, restock supplies, and assist with ordering
- Support quality assurance and Diagnostic Accreditation processes
- Receive training to perform additional diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, audiometry, and peak flow assessments
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized BCSLS Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent education and experience
- Certified Phlebotomist
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in a clinical or outpatient healthcare setting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
- Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
