Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Expo / Food Runner to join our busy breakfast & lunch restaurant team. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that all orders are complete and presented beautifully before serving to guests.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas, including arranging tables and chairs as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including clearing tables and disposing of waste properly.
- Support the front-of-house team by assisting with guest services, including answering questions about menu items.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines during meal preparation and service to ensure a safe dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, meal presentation, and food safety standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
