PC Optimum: All PC Financial payment card customers earn PC Optimum points that can be redeemed in participating Loblaw banner and Shoppers Drug Mart stores.
PC Services: this division of Loblaws Inc. operates in the same office location and includes The Mobile Shop and Gift Card businesses which are focused upon delivering convenience and exceptional value to LCL customers. Loblaws Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of LCL.

The Senior Analyst, Product & Business Insights is accountable for delivering tactical and strategic knowledge through multivariate statistical analysis.
The Senior Analyst is a subject matter expert, combining product knowledge, financial management and excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills, to determine the optimal analytical approach and how to best interpret results and support business strategies aimed at maximizing growth and profitability of PCF&S businesses.
What You'll Do:
Manipulation and calculation of large complex data from various sources, convey complicated information concisely, simply with clarity, and deliver actionable insights that enable business partners to fully understand key drivers of business results
Conduct sophisticated multivariate analysis/ predictive modeling at product, portfolio, and customer level, and recommend appropriate actions to ensure profitable and sustainable business growth
Design, develop and evaluate business cases that consider multiple drivers and relay those drivers into accurate forecasts, and presented to varying audiences in order to move business idea forward
Collaborate with the business areas to assess opportunities and measure results of campaigns & initiatives and ensure timely communication of strategic and operational results
Develop and implement statistical models using machine learning techniques that include linear/logistic regression, decision trees and k-means clustering analysis
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. computer science, engineering, statistics or other analytically based discipline). Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Management Analytics or other professional designation is highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years proven strong business analytical and modeling experience including statistical and segmentation analysis; data analysis and insight development; financial statement and competitive analysis
Must be proficient with SAS, SQL, Data Warehouses on large datasets; R & Python, knowledge of SAS Enterprise Data Miner, Hadoop & HIVE are asset.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel & building complex models for financial, portfolio analysis, and comprehensive business case evaluation.
Strategic critical thinker with proven ability to think conceptually (use numbers to tell a story) and make meaning of complex data to develop insights and communicate results
Strong communication skills and desire to work in cross-functional groups.
Experience working with machine learning algorithms including linear/logistic regression, decision trees, k-means clustering analysis
