Arne’s Welding Ltd. a leading manufacturer of Aggregate and Lowbed Trailers in Western Canada is seeking a Custodian to join our team.
The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and general maintenance of the facility.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 12:00pm or 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Wage: $17/hr
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for daily plant operations
- Dusting surfaces
- Sweeping floors
- Vacuuming floors and carpets
- Mopping floors, including operation of the industrial floor cleaner throughout the plant
- Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms and locker rooms
- Refilling soap, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers
- Emptying office garbage bins
- Dusting window sills and other surfaces
- Cleaning production support areas and common spaces
- Performing general custodial duties as required
Qualifications:
- 1 year of custodian or related cleaning experience preferred
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is an asset.
- Able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Able to climb ladders and stairs
- Able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods depending on the task
- Able to perform repetitive hand movements requiring full use of both hands
- Able to work with arms fully extended
- Able to work with arms above shoulder level
- Reliability and punctuality
