Qualifications – Northern Ontario Healthcare Facility
- Registered Nurse registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Obstetrics (OB) experience required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- FHS (Fetal Health Surveillance) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months
- Must be comfortable working in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical units
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as required

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical and medical/surgical patients
- Perform maternal and newborn assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies following established protocols
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety practices
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility needs and shift assignments, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Canadian nursing experience required
- Recent Obstetrics experience required with competency in maternal and newborn care
- Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing considered an asset
- Familiarity with hospital electronic documentation systems is an asset
- Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-paced environments
