BAMSS Contracting Inc. is a trucking company based out of Lacombe, Alberta. Our shop and office is located approximately 4 miles East of Lacombe on Highway 12. We have a fleet of late-model Freightliner tractors and LPG and condensate trailers. Experience with Detroit Engines is an asset.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on equipment; oil changes, tire rotations, grease, belt replacement, etc.
Inspect trucks and trailers for any issues before going out on driver's shift
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and complete repairs on trucks and trailers
Provide instructions and assistance to apprentice mechanics
Complete required maintenance records and fleet maintenance records for all repairs and maintenance completed
Communicate and coordinate repairs and maintenance issues/requirements with Operations team
Flexible work schedules available:
Monday to Friday or shift work available. Overtime is available.
Requirements:
1-3 years of mechanic experience required for apprentice mechanics
Knowledge of Detroit engines is an asset
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work with other Heavy Duty Mechanics, apprentice mechanics, and shop staff
Journeyman Certificate Heavy Duty Mechanic
Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic trade status
CVIP License is an asset
Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License is an asset

Pay: $18.00-$60.00 per hour
