Elysian Health is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Kinesiologist to join our collaborative interdisciplinary team in South Surrey. What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive functional movement and physical assessments
- Develop and implement individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs
- Educate patients on strength training, injury prevention, safe lifting techniques, and exercise progression
- Support patients managing chronic disease, mobility challenges, balance concerns, and post-injury recovery
- Lead individual and small group exercise sessions
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and blood glucose as part of patient assessments
- Utilize motivational interviewing and behaviour-change coaching techniques
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case management records
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to support patient outcomes
- Contribute to a positive, energetic, and supportive patient experience
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Available Monday to Friday
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology or a related field
- Current registration and good standing with BCAK
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Registered Kinesiologist in a clinical, rehabilitation, exercise therapy, or performance setting
- Current CPR-C certification required
- Experience in active rehabilitation, chronic disease management, functional movement assessment, or strength and conditioning is highly valued
- Knowledge of falls prevention, gait training, balance therapy, and exercise prescription
- Experience with Jane App or other electronic health record systems is considered an asset
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
