Why is this role important?
The goal of this department is to manage all aspects of Compliance (Health and Safety, Environmental, Food Safety) within the Distribution Centre. The Compliance Analyst is required to manage all training requirements as they relate to Health and Safety, standard operating procedures and compliance in the DC. The role is also responsible for the development of warehouse new hires so they reach the desired expectations in a timely fashion while maintaining good attendance and working safely
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for scheduling and execution of regular in house audits for all facets of compliance
Responsible for regular & continuous monitoring of all safety devices, equipment, and procedures
Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and implementation of all government agency requirements related to applicable laws for labour, health, safety, privacy and ethics
Actively participate in monitoring, maintaining and implementing all standard operating procedures, policies, guidelines and practices as outlined in national audits for compliance
Oversee and assist the operations team in developing and implementing training mechanisms to continuously improve audit results
Investigate, implement, support and sustain national compliance initiatives as required by LCL
Actively participate in JHSC meetings, prepare minutes, review inspections and follow up for completion.
Responsible for maintaining, processing and verifying compliance documentation for completeness and accuracy .
Injury Claims Management
Maintaining and keeping inventory of safety supplies, PPE, ordering products as required
Maintain comprehensive business records of all audits
Injury Claims Management
Manage, maintain, communicate and ensure timely reporting of all injury claims according to the rules and regulations of the Workers Compensation Board and LCL’s third party claims management company
Provide direction and meaningful work for colleagues who require modified work arrangements due to medical restrictions and ensure supervisors are actively involved in accommodated return to work programs
Work in partnership with the operations team and the OHS business unit to ensure open communication of ongoing and active claims, incidents and injuries
Train, communicate, coach and effectively manage injury rates and medical reporting processes to safely return all employees to their pre-injury job and/or duties
Standard Operating Procedures
Coordinate with the operations team to develop, implement, communicate, train, report and maintain national, regional or site specific standard operating practices
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Intermediate to Advanced experience with Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
Exposure to MS Office applications (SharePoint, PowerApps)
Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
