Overview
We are a small renovation company looking for a reliable and hardworking Handyman/Renovation Helper for projects across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
This is a hands-on position involving general renovation, repair and maintenance work. We are looking for someone dependable, flexible and comfortable completing different types of small jobs.
Responsibilities
- Light demolition and site preparation
- Drywall installation and patchwork
- Interior painting and touch-ups
- Minor plumbing repairs and fixture installation
- Minor electrical work, where legally permitted
- Basic carpentry and finishing work
- Installing doors, trim, shelves and fixtures
- General repair and maintenance work
- Cleaning and organizing the work area
- Loading, unloading and moving tools and materials
- Following safety procedures and completing work properly
Qualifications
- Previous handyman, renovation or construction experience is preferred.
- Basic experience with demolition, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical and carpentry work.
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing renovation work.
- Able to travel to different job sites throughout the GTA.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are considered strong assets.
