Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality food preparation, maintain food safety standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role requires strong leadership, team management, and restaurant management skills to foster a productive and positive kitchen environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Develop menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining operational feasibility
- Train staff on food safety, proper cooking techniques, and customer service standards
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain efficiency and cleanliness
- Lead by example in serving customers and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle customer feedback related to food quality or service issues professionally
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities
- Extensive restaurant management experience with a focus on kitchen operations
