Pace Pharmacy is looking for an experienced, dedicated, highly organized, friendly and motivated individual to join our team.
The successful candidate should have experience in non-sterile compounding. In addition to performing compounding duties, you will perform administrative tasks.
Compounding Pharmacy Technician or Assistant Job Duties include:
- Abide by all written company policies and standard operating procedures
- Compound pharmaceutical products to meet the pharmacy’s needs – understanding and following all company SOPs and NAPRA guidelines
- Calculate, measure, mix, and package compounded non-sterile preparations
- Record details, including weight/volume, lot, and expiry of materials
- Label, package and organize compounded products to ensure proper identification for patient use
- Assist with inventory management, placing, and receiving orders
- Maintain sufficient supplies and inventory to meet the lab’s needs, re-ordering in advance of running out
- Assist with general cleaning and regular garbage removal/disposal
- Responsible for inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary/required for the preparation(s)
- Lifting/moving heavy totes, boxes, etc. (e.g., up to 25-50 lbs)
- Communicate effectively with other pharmacy team members to ensure smooth operation and timely fulfillment of compounded products.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle or feel tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch, bend, smell, talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25kg. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
