Job Description:
Main Duties
This position provides convenient services to Hotel guests by taking reservations, responding to general inquiries, and providing information on Hotel & Casino services, events and promotions.
Responsibilities Include: Providing exceptional hospitality, emphasizing personalized service and attentive treatment to ensure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Providing a wide variety of information to guests, assessing urgency and information needs, and referring as appropriate. Taking Hotel reservations using the Hotel computer system and ensuring all information for Hotel reservations is correct. Answering the Hotel switchboard. Greeting patrons, checking guests in and out of room, and processing payment transactions. Assisting with baggage as needed. Posting Hotel room charges to room for restaurant, pet fees, etc. Handling payments (i.e. cash and credit card). Restocking and replenishing continental and ensuring area is kept clean and sanitized. Maintaining a tidy and well-organized workspace. Tracking inquiries and activities to guide improvements and adjustments to processes and services. Performing night audits and ensuring all paperwork is accurately processed with payments and Hotel room charges.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidates are subject to a background check as well are required to obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
- The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
- Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.

- Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Successful completion of a Grade 12 or GED diploma or a combination of relevant education, training and/or experience.
Experience
- One year of experience in the Gaming and/or Hospitality industry.
