Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate specializing in Electric Supply to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse distribution, order picking, and operating various heavy equipment to ensure efficient handling of electrical components and supplies. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. Responsibilities
- Perform order picking and load/unload electrical supplies using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Operate heavy equipment safely for shipping & receiving tasks, including load & unload procedures
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of supplies and parts
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse space to optimize storage efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts and cranes to ensure proper functioning
- Support construction projects by providing timely delivery of materials and supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management systems is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks is highly desirable
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures for construction or electrical supplies
- Familiarity with order picker operations and heavy lifting techniques is advantageous
- Construction experience or background in handling electrical components will be considered a plus
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous warehouse experience involving inventory management, order picking, and material handling is preferred
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
