We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will support the Finance and Purchasing Department by assisting with customer invoicing, payment processing, collections, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced technology sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process and apply customer payments in QuickBooks.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices through phone and email.
- Perform collections while maintaining professional relationships with customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Assist with month-end accounts receivable reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Purchasing Department to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Organize and maintain financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with:
- Customer invoicing
- QuickBooks
- Collections
- Experience processing customer payments and reconciling accounts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Preferred
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience working in the technology, IT, distribution, or wholesale industry is considered an asset.
