Title: Landscape Architect
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime

Wage: $75K - $110K annually, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role:
Landscape Design Proposal:
- Seek out and write design proposal to acquire design build projects
- Clients include developers, municipalities, general contractors, builders, homeowners, etc.
- Work closely with Operations Director and Sales Team to meet with clients to propose our design build model
Landscape Design:
- Design, review, and approve landscape construction drawings for client presentation and submission to multiple municipalities including developing landscape concepts and preliminary drawings, preparing layout plans, planting plans & construction details
- Produce design specifications for construction packages and communicating site specific guidelines to provide direction to achieve the overall design intent
- Meet design and submission deadlines set by clients
Job Budgeting & Contracting:
- Detailed review of drawings and specifications
- Solicitation of pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Completion of accurate & detailed project cost estimates including preparation of preliminary budget estimates
- Communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Contract administration including:
- Review and preparation of contracts including submittals
- Preparation of subcontract agreements
- Stamping drawings and assisting to enhance and refine studio process and standards
- Set up for contract and progress tracking per company processes
- Organization, preparation and tracking of contract files such as RFIs and change orders Design Project Management:
- Supporting and work closely with Construction Coordinators from project start to project closeout
- Attending and carrying out site visits, meetings, and inspections including CCC & FAC inspections
- Recording, communicating, and tracking deficiencies in a clear and efficient process ▪ Project quality assurance and control
- Tracking of job productivity and process compliance
- Completions of PPCs and invoicing
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and coworkers
- Providing support and mentoring to design team
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of local municipal construction standards, specifications, and bylaws Proficient understanding and experience with various municipal development permit processes including servicing agreements, drawing submission, and inspections and achievement of CCC & FAC
- Experience using EPlan is an asset
- Experience with LandFX is highly valued
- Proficient computer skills and strong working knowledge of Office Suites
- Preparing and understanding drawings and specifications with ability to analyze projects for risks
- Knowledgeable of contract preparation, pricing, and closeout procedures
- Experience preparing detailed project cost estimates an asset
- Previous experience with LMN/Odoo software is an asset
- Willingness and ability to learn and become competent in a variety of software platforms Landscape construction experience is considered an asset

- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Education Requirements:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, or equivalent, and full member of the AALA
