Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the mechanical field. The Apprentice Refrigeration Mechanic will work under the supervision of experienced refrigeration mechanics, assisting in various tasks related to mechanical repairs and maintenance. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in areas such as appliance repair, HVAC systems, plumbing, and welding.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in various equipment and appliances.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Participate in routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
- Help with the installation and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical systems.
- Support experienced mechanics in welding and building projects as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Must at least be a first year refrigeration apprentice.
- Familiarity with appliance repair, HVAC systems, plumbing, or welding is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
