We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Cashier/Retail Associate to join our dynamic retail team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service, managing transactions efficiently, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and card transactions
- Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer experience
- Maintain merchandising displays to ensure attractive and organized presentation
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth checkout processes during busy periods
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reconcile cash register at shift end
- Assist in stock organization and inventory management as required
- Uphold store policies, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times
Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and sales processes
- Experience in retail sales, upselling, and merchandising strategies
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
