Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are completed on time and in excellent condition. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles to transport goods between locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents promptly to management for immediate action
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while loading or unloading cargo
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
