Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural/Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team. In this role, you will support the design, drafting, and analysis of civil and structural projects while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support the preparation of structural designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation within a multidisciplinary engineering team. Projects will primarily support operating industrial facilities and will include structural steel and concrete structures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of structural and civil design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Civil 3D
- Support project teams with drafting tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards
- Assist with structural design, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support the design and assessment of existing industrial facilities.
- Prepare and coordinate design details with other engineering disciplines.
- Assist with site visits, field measurements, inspections, and construction support.
- Complete assigned work within project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Apply engineering principles, codes, and standards to practical design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to project teams.
- Work closely with senior engineers, designers, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain compliance with company quality and safety requirements.
- Develop technical knowledge through mentorship and hands-on project experience.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a structural focus.
- Registered or eligible for registration as an E.I.T. with APEGA.
- 1–2 years of engineering experience; industrial or structural experience is an asset.
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and how structures respond to environmental and operational loads.
- Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to support engineering, design, research, data analysis, documentation, or workflow efficiencies is an asset.
- Familiarity with Canadian engineering codes and standards is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop technical expertise.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
