Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly to foster trust and cooperation.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing by labeling, handling, and processing samples according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collections, including patient information and sample details.
- Follow strict infection control procedures and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
- Assist with specimen transportation to the laboratory and communicate any issues or irregularities promptly.
- Support patient care by providing empathetic service, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with medical testing procedures is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism.
- Certification or training in phlebotomy from an accredited program is required or highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document and communicate test orders and results.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
