Bell is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Specialist – Information Security Project Assurance reporting to the Senior Manager – Information Security Governance. This person will be responsible for ensuring that projects undertaken by the organization understand and adhere to information security and privacy requirements.
Work with project teams to assess compliance with Bell’s Information Security requirements and best practices
Raise awareness, educate project team’s members of security requirements, and provide technical guidance when required to facilitate compliance
Document issues and present formal reports to project teams and/or senior management
Work with the organization’s Privacy Officer to ensure projects adhere to Federal/Provincial privacy requirements
Participate in the intake process ensuring projects are assigned to members of the team in a timely manner
Ensure that all projects receive timely updates and all requests are updated within the team’s tracking tools
Support the further development of the organization’s information security policies and procedures
1-3 years of experience in implementing and/or operating information security tools (e.g. Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, etc.)
1+ years experience implementing and/or administrating server operating systems (Unix/Windows)
1+ years experience implementing/operating networking equipment (Routers, Switches, etc.)
knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. IP, TLS, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills, able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding dynamic environment
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and demonstrate a high level of judgment and maturity
High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision
Post-Secondary education in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
Professional information security certifications or working towards certifications, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other similar credentials
Knowledge of Information Security Forum’s Standard of Good Practice, ISO 2700x, or PCI-DSS
Experience in the fields of auditing and risk management
Formal training/certification on Canadian Privacy laws and regulations
Bilingual (French and English)
The candidate must successfully go through extensive background verifications including but not limited to criminal record and reputational checks.
NOTE: All Security personnel are required to sign a letter of non-disclosure which prevents them from divulging sensitive information that they may be exposed to during their assignment. This policy is strictly enforced.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
