Position Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch, routing, warehouse operations, and driver relations to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers while supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily transportation and warehouse operations.
- Plan, optimize, and dispatch delivery routes based on daily volume and capacity.
- Support and communicate with drivers throughout the day to resolve delivery issues and ensure service levels are met.
- Monitor route performance and make real-time operational adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate LTL shipments and special delivery requests.
- Oversee loading, unloading, sorting, and staging of freight.
- Balance route volumes to maximize efficiency and service performance.
- Ensure driver training, compliance, and documentation requirements are maintained.
- Track delivery performance, proof of delivery, and operational KPIs.
- Respond to customer and driver inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within transportation and warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of transportation, dispatch, logistics, or warehouse leadership experience.
- Previous experience in dispatching and route planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing driver relationships and performance.
- Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in courier, transportation, distribution, or pharmaceutical logistics.
- Warehouse supervision experience.

Pay: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
