Hazardous Materials Field Supervisor
Our client is a leading organization specializing in hazardous materials management, construction, and environmental remediation. They are committed to maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards while delivering critical projects that protect communities and ecosystems.
Our client is currently looking for a Field Superintendent to join their team on Vancouver Island.As a Field Superintendent, you will oversee the safe removal and handling of hazardous materials during deconstruction and restoration projects.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate hazardous materials abatement activities on deconstruction sites.
- Ensure all work meets WorkSafeBC safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Lead and manage a team in the safe removal and handling of hazardous materials, including asbestos and other contaminants.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Maintain precise records of abatement procedures, waste disposal, and compliance documentation in collaboration with the administrative team.
- Work closely with project managers to plan, execute, and complete remediation tasks efficiently.
- Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, proper tool usage, and industry best practices.

Qualifications
- 3+ years in a supervisory role within demolition, construction, hazardous materials abatement, or a related field.
- Level 3 WorkSafeBC-approved Asbestos Awareness is preferred.
- Experience in hazardous materials and asbestos removal work.
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and demolition techniques.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel as needed.
