The Registered Clinical Counsellor provides comprehensive therapeutic counseling services to clients and families in the assigned clinical specialty. Will also conduct comprehensive psycho-social assessments of clients and families and will educate clients, families and healthcare professionals to this regard. Will provide HEC team with effective client resources and participate in treatment planning and client health outcomes. This may include the development of client support groups, in-services, psycho-educational groups and participation in research with the HEC team. Strong communication and clinical skills as well as familiarity with EMR charting an asset.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
- Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current full registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counselling or Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association
- Recent Criminal Records Check including vulnerable persons
- Professional Liability Insurance of at least 2 milion coverage
- Worksafe BC coverage
- Willing to work with CVAP (Crimes Victims Assistance Program) and First Nations Health Authority
