Reporting to the Senior Program Officer for Surgery, this position is responsible for the leadership and operations of the Operating Room, PACU, Pre-Admission Clinic, and Surgical Booking Office at the Misericordia Community Hospital. The Program Manager is accountable for the daily management of the program and its efficient function and performance to facilitate quality care. The position monitors operational budgets, participates in operational planning at the unit and program level, and oversees the delivery of safe care to those we serve: our residents, patients, and their families. The Program Manager is a role model for the Covenant Health Mission, Vision, and Values as well as for demonstrating and fostering patient and resident engagement. The responsibilities of this position are focused on four critical aspects of care and services: People and Teams; Access and Flow; Quality and Safety; Efficiency and Resources. Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a health discipline is required, a Master's Degree is preferred. Must have at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience within a clinical care setting, five of which will have been in a supervisory/management level position. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Certified in CPR necessary. Active annual registration with a professional college is required (where applicable).
