Professor Puffin’s Challenge Club is an after-school enrichment program that offers a fun, educational, and engaging experience for children in grades 1-4. The program aims to develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and focus, as well as expanded vocabulary and increased confidence.
Professor Puffin's Challenge Club offers classes in elementary schools at the end of the regular school day. Professor Puffin instructors should be available to teach 2-3 lessons in the afternoon (2:50-4:30pm) each week for the duration of the term (Oct. 5 - Dec. 15). Instructors are assigned to specific schools and stay with the same schools and days of the week for the entire term, and preferably throughout the school year.
Job Requirements:
- Must have experience leading groups of children.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
- Clear spoken English (Other languages an asset).
- Mature and highly dependable, being on-time and commitment are must haves.
- General knowledge of school subjects and interest in games and trivia.
- Criminal background check for vulnerable sectors.
- Must be able to stand for 1-2 hours and setup/take down tables and chairs when required.
- Must be comfortable using a tablet.
Notes:
- This is a very part time position, teach 2-3 lessons per week.
- Compensation: Instructors $57/lesson
- Each lesson lasts approximately 1 hour, however set up and clean up are also included in the lesson pay.
- Currently hiring for the Fall term, (Oct. 5 - Dec. 15)
- Paid training ($20/hour)
- Activity lesson plans, content and materials are all provided.
