Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Care Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our senior care facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of caregiving staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to senior care, and experience in assisted living or nursing home environments. The Home Care Supervisor will play a vital role in fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for our residents while managing administrative responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of caregiving staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and safety protocols
- Oversee medication administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting professional development and team cohesion
- Monitor resident well-being, addressing concerns related to dementia care and other special needs
- Assist in developing and managing budgets for the department, ensuring efficient resource utilization
- Conduct regular staff training sessions on topics such as senior care best practices, dementia care, and emergency procedures
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies through ongoing audits and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to deliver personalized care plans
- Manage scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or senior care environments
- Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, and dementia care techniques
- Familiarity with budgeting processes within healthcare facilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Experience working with elderly populations requiring senior care services is essential
- Certification or training in nursing or related healthcare fields is advantageous
